Where is Hugomunity? Hugomunity is nestled in the quiet of San Marcos, Texas. You’ll drive about 12 minutes to shopping and restaurants.
Who can Hugomunity accommodate? Hugomunity is a place for everyone- LGBTQ+ friendly, pet friendly, and open to all styles of living, from campers to converted buses and beyond.
How does compensation work? At Hugomunity, rent is offset through contribution. Each task or project is assigned a dollar value, and once completed and logged, that amount is deducted from your monthly rent. Some projects are group-based (with equal credit for everyone involved), some are recurring (like weekly trash), and others are as-needed (like weeding or tree trimming).
What is provided with the site? Each site includes access to water, electric, and WiFi. For black tank needs, residents are expected to use a portable tote for proper disposal.
Is there opportunity for pay? Residents may have the opportunity to earn supplemental income through Medieval Moccasins, an on-site small business. Work is compensated on a piecework basis, with pay assigned to each completed step of production. These opportunities are not guaranteed and are subject to current business demand, but may be available upon discussion with the property owners.
